BESPOKE DERMAPLANING AND SKIN PEEL PACKAGES

Dermaplaning gently removes the top layer of dead skin cells, giving your complexion a fresh ‘air-brushed’ glow. Whatever your skincare goals, we can tailor a bespoke dermaplaning package to suit your individual needs.

BESPOKE FACIAL REJUVENATION DERMAPLANING PACKAGES in London

As we age, our skin’s natural cell turnover slows down. This causes the quality of our skin’s tone and texture to reduce, and our complexion can become dull and less vibrant.

Resurfacing treatments – such as dermaplaning and skin peels – are designed to combat this by removing the top layer of dead skin cells, encouraging the skin to produce new cells and revealing a brighter and smoother complexion. In other words, these enhanced exfoliation techniques can give you a seriously fresh glow!

Dermaplaning can be a highly effective facial rejuvenation treatment on its own, or can help prepare the skin for other treatments such as skin peels, enhancing their effectiveness for even greater results.

At our Medikaur Skin & Aesthetics clinic in London, we can create bespoke dermaplaning packages to suit your individual skincare goals and needs – whether you want to revive your complexion for a special occasion, address specific concerns such as uneven tone and texture, or simply get your glow back.

Starting with a one-to-one consultation and skin assessment, we will take the time to talk you through the options, so you can make a fully informed decision that’s right for you.

The ‘air-brushed’ effect

While dermaplaning and skin peels are both resurfacing treatments, different processes are used to achieve results. With dermaplaning, a surgical scalpel is used to very carefully buff or ‘shave’ away the old skin cells, while skin peels use specially-developed formulas to chemically exfoliate the skin’s surface.

The benefits can include:

  • A fresher, brighter and more radiant complexion

  • Reduced appearance of fine lines and wrinkles

  • More even skin tone and texture

  • Reduced appearance of pores and blemishes

  • Improved hydration

At Medikaur Skin & Aesthetics, we offer dermaplaning and a variety of skin peels as either individual treatments or as tailored bespoke packages:

  • Our ‘Basic’ dermaplaning packages start from £80

  • Our ‘Deluxe’ dermaplaning packages, including a skin peel treatment, start from £180

DERMAPLANING FAQs

HOW IS DERMAPLANING PERFORMED?

A medical scalpel is used to slough away dead cells from the surface layer of the skin. This might sound a little alarming but the treatment is done very carefully and gently by a specially trained practitioner. Dermaplaning also removes the very fine ‘peach fuzz’ hair occurs naturally on the face. This will start growing back after a few weeks (and it’s a myth that hair grows back thicker or darker – so don’t worry!).

Because only a scalpel is used, dermaplaning can also sometimes be a good option for people with very sensitive or dry skin, or people with certain skin conditions who want to avoid chemical-based treatments.

However, it can also help better prepare the skin for other treatments, such as skin peels and serums, as they’ll be able to penetrate more deeply and effectively.

ARE THERE ANY SIDE-EFFECTS?

Dermaplaning is generally very safe with very minimal side-effects. It’s common to experience some redness immediately after treatment, but this should calm down within an hour or so. We’ll make sure we explain everything you need to know about aftercare before you go home.

The treatment may not always be suitable for everyone, however, but we can advise on this during your consultation and assessment before going ahead.

HOW SOON WILL I SEE RESULTS AND HOW LONG DO THEY LAST?

You should notice results very quickly, with significant improvements to your skin’s tone and texture and a more glowing, revived complexion. The effects can last for weeks but dermaplaning isn’t a permanent treatment, as the skin’s cells will continue to age. Some people choose to return for repeat treatments – this is usually recommended around every 6-12 weeks, which is about 1-2 natural skin renewal cycles.
